10 Things I Hate About Exams

Hey Everyone!

Whether you are currently at school, college or university, I can assure most of you that we are in the same position when it comes to the fact that we have exams. It sucks. There’s nothing we can do about it except study hard (hah!) and eat brain food (does McDonald’s count?

But here’s ten things I absolutely hate about exams:

  1. When the invigilator looks at your test over your shoulder. Just no. Please go away and leave so I can be confused alone.
  2. The way your tutors or lecturers try and give you a pep talk, as if that’s going to change the fact you didn’t study and have no clue what they’ve been going on about.
  3. How you can’t cough out loud for fear of starting of a chain reaction.
  4. You don’t get to choose who you sit near, cue fart boy to the left and a cheater to the right. Stop trying to talk to me.
  5. Silence. I hate how quiet it is and how when I then sneeze it sounds like thunder.
  6. You can’t make eye contact with anyone. At any point. For the fear people might think your trying to cheat. I don’t want to get kicked out.
  7. No food. What do you mean I can’t snack? Seriously I’m pretty sure everyone is starving by the time an exam finishes. Exam is only an hour? Yep, still hungry.
  8. It’s boring. You finish your exam and then there’s nothing to do except drink the rest of your water from the bottle where you had to remove the label.
  9. Oh referring to point 8, after the water is gone, you then really need to pee, like desperately, and there’s no way you want to have the embarrassment of walking from one of the back rows (Last name begins with M)  all the way to the toilet with an invigilator.
  10. I hate how much pressure there is to do well, you don’t know what the exam questions are going to be until your in there and even then you may or may not know the answers.

I hope you all remember to study, or it’s your own fault!

Vanishing Girls-Lauren Oliver. 13+

Wow. This book is honestly one of the most interesting that I have read for a long time in terms of a thriller. From the beginning there’s the hook of Nick and Dara, two sisters, in the aftermath of a car accident.

We are then transported to times before the accident and then to the present where the two sisters are not on speaking terms and there is the complication of Parker, the hot guy who used to be Nick’s best friend and even Dara’s for a while until he hooked up with her and has an on-off again type of relationship. The relationship has damaged his friendship with Nick which he is almost desperate to gain back. Now there are some twists along the way and a major mind fuck by the end of the book, but I won’t ruin it for you because it really makes it a lot more enjoyable.

‘If you don’t understand that, I guess you’ve never had a sister.’

Go buy it if you want a thriller, with an almost sweet ending.

Tom Odell-Real Love

Hey Everyone, so I know this song is quite old now but I still like listen to it on the odd occasion. I find it so relaxing, it’s a tune I could fall asleep to (in a good way). Just like Ed Sheeran’s, ‘Thinking Out Loud’ made me wish I could dance, this song made me wish I could play the piano, oh and sing. I can’t sing just in case your wondering. But if I could then I would, all the time.

I’m not sure how far this song has gone in terms of popularity in other countries, I know it was a big hit here in the UK over the Christmas period. It has such sweet lyrics, and obviously with’ Love’ in the title it is a bit of a lovey dovey kind of song, but if your a rom-com girl like me, I’m sure will love it. 🙂

Jimmi Jamms! (Review)

Hey Everyone!

For about two years now every Christmas my mum gets me these Jimmi Jamms pyjamas, and they are so comfortable to wear in summer and winter. I love them because I just find them such a unique gift, and we always get them in the Boot’s sales when they’re so cheap!

I would buy them for my friends, but I always end up convincing my mum to put them by for me next Christmas or Birthday. The latest one I have is Vanilla Swirl, I’m saving it because I already opened my other two around winter time and I love the packaging so much!

I’m nineteen and I get size small,  but I would recommend them for any girls from 11+ depending on your size (I’m 5,1 and around 7-8 stone). I have bought medium before because my size ran out, and they were quite big.

You can get these from Boots around Christmas time.

Perfectly Primed and Highlighted… :)

Hey Everyone, you may have noticed that I haven’t blogged in such a long time, and for anyone that follows me, I apologise, I’m back! (Again).

Two weeks ago I bought this primer from Seventeen. One of my close friends recommended primer to help make-up last longer, I thought that this would make my morning routine feel more tedious and take longer. However I have found that it is actually easier when applying foundation more quickly, it makes my skin feel amazing too!

I have the dry skin type so it can be hard for me to find beauty products that will nourish my skin, rather that taint it or make me look patchy (which happens with most products I’ve tried). This product really evens out my skin tone and gives me a healthy glow that is great for summer time, without looking too shiny, that depends if I use a lot of the product. It has a silky consistency that is just like applying moisturiser, it feels really light rather than ‘cakey.’

I would recommend this product to use as a primer, highlighter and even second moisturiser.
