Top 3 Makeup Products: Primers

Well hasn’t this Summer been an absolute let down?

With the weather being completely unpredictable from week to week and when it’s muggy outside it can be hard to maintain healthy skin and makeup.

So, I am here to tell you a list of my top 3 primers. I use most of these before I put my makeup on or even after as a setting spray.

  • St Tropez Self Tan Purity- Bronzing Water Face Mist: I use this a few times a month at the moment before I put on makeup as I am utterly pale compared to most people and I hate looking washed out. I don’t use this every day as I would look very unnatural and it can have a tendency to give an orange look if used too often. The smell is divine, it does not have a fake tan ‘biscuit’ smell and it feels so light on my face.
  • Mario Badescu Facial Spray- with aloe, herbs and rosewater: I definitely use this product every day as either a primer or setting spray and sometimes both. I feel like it really hydrates my skin and helps to keep my makeup on for a lot longer. This also smells divine and floral.
  • Viola Skin- Anti Ageing Vitamin C Serum: This was a random Amazon purchase that I have really loved. I’ve been using this for about a month now and I’ve noticed a difference in the fine lines around my mouth and forehead, mainly caused by laughing and me pulling funny faces. The product doesn’t feel drying but it does feel tightening and it does have a faint citrus smell.

Missguided has been a recent favourite of mine this past year and I won’t lie, I have been loving it. The colour pink combined with glitter is always a great enticement to any product. This leads me to this pretty … Continue reading

Review: Tangle Teezer aka Life Saver

Hey Everyone! Hope you are all well rested after the Easter break.

Today I thought I would give you a review of the Tangle Teezer product.Tangle-TeezerI have incredibly thick hair and that can often make hair brushing vigorous and timely. I’d also like to state that before using this product I have used many others. No other hairbrush can compare to how easily this slides through my hair and detangles as it goes without hurting me or tugging my scalp.

I use it on a daily basis and at first I was actually very hesitant to purchase it because quite simply, I thought it would be a waste of money. I’ve had mine for a good 6 months now and the brush has not shown much signs of excessive wear.

It’s great if you can’t afford to buy a new hairbrush, because if like me you also have thick hair, then you will know the annoyance of having a hairbrush break on you mid-brush. I will say though that it isn’t the best of brushes if you want a tight ponytail or bun, I use a different brush for that use.

However, I have noticed that my hair is less likely to split by using this product because it is so gentle on my hair. The brush isn’t actually that expensive too at around £12.99, which I think is what I paid for mine. You can get this in the majority of stores like Boots or Superdrug if you’re interested in trying it out too.
